We are a venture backed startup and closed series B funding in July 2022. HIVERY Curate, our flagship product, is the world’s only store-level assortment and space strategy simulation and optimization solution. HIVERY Curate enables a retailer or category manager to run assortment and category simulations and understand the financial impact of any assortment and space decision. Originally located in Sydney, Australia HIVERY is now a globally distributed organization hiring for remote roles in engineering.

We are seeking a Front End Developer (Engineer) to join as a key member of our Curate engineering team. In this role you will:

  • Develop features and performance improvements in a well-tested, documented and performant manner
  • Work on a cross functional, remotely distributed team including product managers, full-stack or backend engineers, and designers.
  • Help identify areas for improvement in the codebase and contribute to make it better
  • Work in an agile environment

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • 2-5 years of professional experience with ReactJS and TypeScript
  • Experience with writing automated tests (e.g. Jest, Karma, Mocha, Cypress)
  • Experience using Git in a professional/workplace environment
  • A solid understanding in core web and browser concepts (e.g. how the browser parses and constructs a web page)
  • A solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, core JavaScript and TypeScript concepts
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and primarily asynchronous work environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions
  • Experience with both diagnosing and solving performance and optimization problems
  • Experience with agile, iterative development practices
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly onboard and integrate with an organization on a long-term basis
  • Excellent communication skills; achieves consensus, collaborates positively, respectful feedback
  • An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility
  • Internally motivated and capable of managing oneself
  • Experience working across teams and organizations

Additionally, it would be as asset to have:

  • Working knowledge of Python (Django, Flask)
  • Experience in a peak performance organization, preferably a tech startup
  • Product company experience
  • Experience working with a remote team
  • Enterprise software company experience
  • Experience working with a global or otherwise multicultural team
  • Experience contributing to open source software

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $120,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
